I applied to Arts Council England for some funding to do some reasearch and development into working with Argentium silver. I was very lucky to be awarded some funding for materials and equipment for this project. As part of this, I developed a new collection to be exhibited as part of the Galvanize Festival in Sheffield. These were my first pieces formed by chasing and anticlastic raising, taking advantage of the wonderful malleability of Argentium. My exhibition was at Ruskin Arts and Crafts, on Arundel Street in the centre of Sheffield.2013-05-31 11.11.16 2013-05-31 11.11.52These images are from the exhibition, called “immaculate’, to reflect the fact that Argentium does not tarnish or firestain.
